Choose your field intelligently, weigh your priorities and then decide!!!!!!!!!
Things aren’t like they used to be! Our elders had it all figured out, a stable job, a
fixed undeterred schedule, a certain safe investment (if any) and a secure bank account to look out for the future of the entire family. It’s all quite different now!
There are a lot of inhibitions that have been overcome with age and the new generation brings with it a lot of confidence, willingness to learn, discover and achieve… while demanding much more from life, than people before us ever had the opportunity to exploit, or take advantage of.
Having said that, a career growth notion that may still have been prevalent many years ago, has made a colossal transition with the outbreak of innumerable opportunities for just about everyone. In this fast-paced market, prospects and options are aplenty! However, the key is to tap the right vein and realise… what is it that you’re actually looking for???
It’s simple but very hard to make the right decisions regarding career shift or job change, until one truly comprehends what a person holds more significant in his or her life.
Relocations, location preference, better work-environment and relations with the boss or superiors in the present company can be some other common reasons as well. However, every individual requires a bit more of something and can compromise on a bit less of something else.
What this means is that common reasons for employee satisfaction like the three ‘R’s, namely: remuneration, recognition and reward/ appreciation hold a different meaning and weightage for different individuals.
Remember, the answer may not be the same for everyone and a better salary is not always a good reason to shift! The answer mostly lies within. Therefore, it is important to ‘weigh your priorities’. Hopping jobs without a goal or valid reason is something that is never good in the long run and moreover it can land you in a confused state of affairs.
A person should know what inspires him to know where he’s headed! Taking advice is very helpful but let’s not forget it's you who has to ultimately realise what makes you happy and what you can see yourself doing for the rest of your life.
Choose your field intelligently, weigh your priorities and then decide.
