PDF Viewer Added to Gmail

Google has another new feature to Gmail. Gmail users can now directly browse PDF file file from their Gmail account. PDF viewer in Gmail is really useful for those Gmail users who only want to read the PDF files and don’t want to download PDF files from Gmail to local computer. Gmail PDF viewer opens the PDF document inside your browser as a complete PDF viewer. Gmail PDF viewer preserves all the formatting and graphics that you see in typical PDF reader software.

Gmail PDF viewer also offers option to Download PDF documents, view them as plain HTML or Gmail users can print the entire PDF document. Gmail’s online PDF viewer also show the total number of pages in PDF document. Gmail’s online PDF viewer offers basic PDF viewing features like users can Zoom in-out, move forward – backward in PDF document. Search with in the PDF document and fit the PDF pages in two frames are the features that found really useful in Gmail’s online PDF viewer.

So starting today, you’ll see a new “View” link next to PDF attachments you get in Gmail:

Clicking “View” quickly opens the PDF inside your browser, complete with the graphics and formatting you expect to see in a PDF. You may have seen this feature before, in Google Docs. It’s the way that we did uploading and viewing of PDFs online. Here’s a screen shot:
