MBA - Master of Business Administration!
There are different streams in MBA which deal with the different business process management.
How to manage the human resources, comes under MBA-HR.
Managing the technical things comes under - MBA-IT.
There is one more MBA called entrepreneurship course of MBA which is the best option for creative people who want to build something of their own and for which they need to learn the management approach towards enterpreneurship.
MBA also has a stream in which they explain how to take care and manage the Finance of a company. This comes under MBA-Finance.
Above I have discussed about the different streams of MBA. Now I would like to discuss about how to choose and what should be the method for finalising a good Institute/college. This is a very important decision because this will impact your future in getting a good job.
Before taking the decision one should always,
a) Check the Past Record of the Institute/college, also with respect to the previous placements.
b) Check the quality of the faculties in the Institute/college and their qualifications with the senior students who are already studying there.
c) Also Check the Extra Curricular Activities carried out in the Institute/college. Mostly this point is ignored and always goes unnoticed but it is an important factor in MBA for the overall grooming of the students.
While preparing for the Entrance Examination, always keep a check on the GD (Group Discussion) and PI (Personal Interview) preparation - these are really important and need serious attention. You should be aware of your weak points and should work hard to keep them hidden or solve them. Try to overcome and make them strong through practice. Some of the main entrance examinations carried out by reputed business schools in India for which you need to prepare are - CAT , MAT, XLRI Examination, SNAP Examination, UP MBA Examination, IGNOU Open MAT and IIT JMET.
You can also check for online or distant MBA, Executive MBA in India, Online MBA, Distance Learning Courses, Part Time MBA, Fellow Programmes in MBA. People opt fields as per their skills and requirements. If somebody is doing a job he or she can go for Executive program or distance learning. Distance learning and executive programs are for those who dont want to attend college classes...
