A recent study has found that people who have a sound sleep can make better decisions than those who don’t have a sound sleep. Having a good sound sleep not only makes you to take smart decisions, it also gives a positive effect on your energy levels. Having a good night’s sleep facilitates and enhances the complex cognitive skills like decision-making and hence making you to take smart decisions.

Some psychologists researched on a group of 54 young adults on the effects of sleep on affect-guided decision-making which means decisions based on meaningful topics where subjects care about the outcome. They were taught on how to play a card game which they can win rewards for play money in which the wins and losses of the various card decks are like those of casino gambling.

According to this research, those subjects who had a normal night’s sleep as part of the study had the greatest wins which are four times more than those who spent 12-hour break awake. Those subjects who had a good night’s sleep understood the underlying rules of the game better that’s why they had more wins. So, always try to sleep well.
