BRAIN DRAIN
Brain drain, a word which you might have heard many times. Brain drain is a phenomenon under which “people of a nation move to another nation due to financial benefits and also due to more upgraded status, but there are many more reasons behind it”. If we think deeply to the topic we would find that this phenomenon has more disadvantages than advantages on India.
Today in the 21ST century when most of 80% of world has reached to the peak of Modernization, India is considered under those 20% which is yet to develop.Inspite of having a strong educational infrastructure, millions of intelligent, hardworking Engineers, doctors and billions of man power, WHY INDIA IS STILL LAGING BEHIND? Yes Brain drain is one of the reasons behind this lag. Today man needs money not a prosperous motherland; thirst for money has enshrouded the conscience of people.
You would find students born and nurtured in India, having no love for motherland; instead they are serving other countries. India is investing lakhs and lakhs of money in the education of Indian students
But in return more than half of the students pay zero benefit in technological ground to India.
The Government is also responsible for Brain drain. The salary paid by Indian companies is much less then multinational foreign companies. Due to corruption the intelligent and intellectual educates are unable to make a possible space for them in India. Also, people of India are now keener to adopt Western culture because they find it more comfortable. Yet, also the status and facilities provided by foreign companies are much high in quality and quantity than India. Also, some people find it a matter of pride and dignity to work as an employee in foreign countries. Hence, these are some of the key points for Brain drain.
Brain drain also provides some advantages to India. Indians living in foreign help foreigners to know about Indian cultures and traditions. Also, Indians living in foreign give information about various natural beauties and tourist spots in India which encourages them to visit India. This in turn increases tourist income in India. Brain drain also helps in increasing foreign exchanges of India. Thus, primafacie brain drain is a helpful process.
But at last after all the discussion you would find that brain drain has more disadvantages than advantages on India. So, to stop brain drain NGO’s should come forward to aware people about its harmful effects. Also Government should provide opportunities to best candidates and should provide them handsome salary, so that Indians can serve their own mother nation. Moreover Indian Government should enact some necessary laws to stop Indians to migrate to foreign countries.
“BUT OF ALL IT IS THE HUMAN OWN MORAL SENSE AND CONSCIENCE FOR MOTHERLAND WHICH SHOULD ENCOURAGE THEM TO SERVE ITS OWN MOTHER NATION.”
