Microsoft Built-in flaw in Exchange Server

The OS leading company Microsoft Corporation also does have some flaws in their application or Operating System. I came to know about a little flaw just few days back.

I came to know it when a user in my organization whose password was expired of mail account. He called me up to reset it. I reset the same and as usual I checked the box of “password change at next logon”. Unfortunately the user was out of office and was using Outlook Web Access (OWA) for the mail access. He reported me that he wasn’t able to log in to the account with default password to which it was reset nor his old one.

I tried very much, went through Microsoft articles and at last I have to reset his password again without checking that box, and this time the user logged in with the default password. I placed a call to Microsoft to find out the specified reason for the same and to fix it up. They clearly mentioned that it is a flaw in their application only that OWA does not supports password change at next logon.

Thanks & regards
