MBA Entrance Exam Calendar 2009-10: The countdown begins!

Common Admission Test (CAT), which will be a computer-based test beginning this year, will be held in a 10-day window from Saturday, November 28 to Monday, December 7, 2009. CAT is the entrance exam for the IIMs and other top MBA institutes. The advertisement for CAT 2009 will be published in the newspapers on Sunday, August 30. The online registration for the same should be done between Wednesday September 9, 2009 and Thursday, October 1, 2009.

Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), the entrance exam organized by XLRI Jamshedpur for XLRI Jamshedpur, XIM Bhubaneswar and 60 other MBA institutes will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2010. This will be a paper-pencil-based test. Till last year, XAT entrance exam was held in over 100 centers all over India. This year the authorities are anticipating some changes.

Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) entrance exam for the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Pune will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2009. The registration for SNAP entrance exam opens on October 2009 and ends during the end of November 2009.

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) Delhi and Kolkata entrance exam will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2009 from 10 am to 12 pm. IIFT entrance exam, which will be a paper-pencil exam, will be held in about 55 centers across 20 cities in India. The last date for receipt of completed applications is September 3, 2009.

Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) for the two-year post graduate MBA degree programs offered by IITs will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2009.

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2009 from 10 am to 12.30 pm for those who are willing to take the paper-pencil form of the exam. Those who are opting for the computer-based exam will have their tests from Monday, September 7, 2009 onwards. MAT entrance exam will be held in 60 Indian cities and two international cities –Dubai and Singapore. AIMA will close its sale of online registration forms from August 10, 2009 and will stop receiving filled forms on August 13, 2009. MAT entrance exam is held four times a year on February, May, September and December.

IBSAT or the ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2009 from 10 am to 12 pm. The last date for receipt of application is December 12, 2009. The IBSAT admit cards will be available at the IBSAT website by November 16, 2009 onwards.

Institute for Rural Management Anand (IRMA), Gujarat, entrance exam will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2009. IRMA entrance will be a written exam and will be held in 27 centers across India. The admission notice will be published on the newspapers on August 2, 9 and 11, 2009. The last date for application is September 30, 2009.

AIMS Test for Management Admission (ATMA) entrance exam will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2010. ATMA entrance exam scores are accepted by various MBA institutes who are member of Association for Indian Management Schools (AIMS).
