Who should consider online education?

Anyone who:
1) cannot commit to a regular schedule.
2) has family and work responsibilities that make it difficult to attend regular college classes.
3) needs to meet specific degree pre-requisites.
4) is self-motivated to commit to the requirements set by the educational facility.
5) has the self-determination to keep to a schedule of study to complete courses successfully.
6) wants to accelerate their degree completion.
7) wants to complete courses that are not locally available.
8) travels extensively for business or pleasure.
9) wants to complete courses but would have to travel long distances to available college sites.
10) enjoys communicating using your writing skills.
11) has an interest in experiencing an online course.
12) has a disability that prevents them from physically attending schools, ie, homebound.
13) is seeking to update their knowledgebase in their particular field.
14) is not looking for easy, "do nothing" courses.
15) is looking for highly interactive, student-centered learning experiences.
16) enjoys working independently as well as with others.
17) is enthusiastic about engaging in online dialogue.
18) is interested in meeting new people from all over the country and beyond.
19) will commit to collaborate with other students to establish a positive learning community.
20) is interested in lifelong learning commitments.

And even if you don't exactly find yourself fitting into the one of those categories but still are intrigued with the concept of online education- then go for it! Sometimes you don't know if something is for you or not until you try it. But do your homework before venturing into a program - you will be more apt to be successful if you know what the expectations of the program are beforehand.

Remember that online courses are not meant to be an easy "A" or a way to get your degree or grade without doing the work. There is a specific workload associated with these courses. Enroll with online programs offered by MGU and get a UGC recognized degree, certificate or diploma.
