Getting better out of the Working Environment
Working! Well many of us might feel slightly bored about the topic itself. And if the working environment is adverse, it makes a person more irritating to get into the place at all. We might always talk loudly about Work as Worship, but how many of us really love our work place? Count will be an absolute zero, if somebody could’ve had the ability to read other’s mind. It is same with me, you and all around you. At times, we might feel that work places are the closest to Hell, and in due course, lose interest in the work, however interesting and challenging it could be!
What are the reasons behind our hatred for our work place? An in depth analysis could reveal the fact that the reasons are many. It is our mindset at times that causes this problem while at other times it could be negligence from the management, irritations within the team that we are involved. Improper management, Issues back home, Low knowledge about the work, Attitude problems are all reasons which leads one to dislike his work environment and to a situation where he or she looks for reasons, not to go for work. Many a times these issues lead to serious troubles in one’s career as well. Can’t we get out of these issues easily? Well, we can get rid of most of the problems easily, if the issues arise from our side.
Most of the times, the issue with working in a team is the mentality of different people who make up that team. It is very easy to and is a common situation, that the team includes persons who hold diverse behaviours. When there are people with such diverse natures, naturally there is a chance of irritation within the team. If we think of this problem in with a cool head, we can understand that it is just the work place, where the team is together only for a few hours. Why to get into severe complications and create situations which leads to us not able to go along with the team? It is always easy to avoid situations where one gets into direct arguments with others of the team. The lead of the team can to play a big role in this. He can diversify the work intersections in order to avoid such complexities. If planned in a smart manner, this could be developed into a team without groupism and irritations.
Negligence from the management or improper management is a much severe situation. The scope of an employee remains very limited in this issue. The maximum that he can do in such a situation is to intimate the higher management of issues. But very often, Smart Working can prove to be a solution to the negligence. By Smart working, I mean showing the work with its importance visible to the management. This can gain confidence from the management/client and make them feel the importance of the personnel involved.
Attitude problems are more often an indicator of lesser knowledge regarding the work. This could be a sign of lesser confidence as well. Attitude should exist, but it should be towards a positive direction. Most of the times, it becomes the root cause of other issues within a team/work group. In the current industrial conditions, a person should be smart enough to be aware of the fact that there is efficient work force available outside which could be utilized instead of him. By this, I don’t mean that one should suffer any blows towards one’s self image. I was pointing on the negative sided attitudes in ourselves, which can be suppressed and managed better by us. After all, politics will come into play in any place, any field and any team where there is more than a single person involved. But one should be smart enough to be able to wade off these when it comes to the work and his deliverable. Maybe, suffering a little boasting of our fellows, help us in getting more efficient output from them which can help in better deliveries.
