Stopping to de-motivate and dissatisfy employees
It is a very important that you take the right measures to motivate your employees, time to time. It is a very important thing that our managers and entrepreneurs should understand and practice. This is one of the techniques that would help them to retain their employees. Employee satisfaction is one of the major factors that make a person to decide to stay back in the same institution. It is not really tough to make the employees motivate and happy, though most of our fellows think so!
Now, what is the main reason that an employee thinks of quitting the job? There may be a large number of reasons for that, but I think the main driving force behind the same is the fact that they do so due to job dissatisfaction. Most of the people whom I see suffer from the same problem. They are not really satisfied with their present institutions and the reason is most of the time common. They are not really getting motivated at all by their employers. They look out for new opportunities, and then their employers try to negotiate, in order to get them retained. There is a simple question that emerges in my mind for the employers most of the times. Why don’t you pay attention to them when your employees are at your side? Why not take a stand by their side?
I have seen entrepreneurs who do not pay attention to their employee, till he is found to be really worth of money. This category of employers, look into their employees as money bags. They think that it does not really matter if their employees are leaving. But believe me, it is not really going to take longer, before anyone of your client take back their projects from you because of this frequent loss of employees. What interests me more, is one doubt. Is it really difficult to support the fellow employees? Is it really loss to keep the process of talking to the teams and understanding the issues that they are facing?
It is the simplest of management techniques that has been into use successfully – Motivate your employees! It helps a lot in boosting their confidence in you. A simple word of appreciation of their work will raise the morale of a person to a very high level. This will make them open out and express out everything. This helps relieve the frustration in their minds as well. There could be more effective mechanisms for the same, like organizing and providing awards for good work, announcing prizes among the various teams, and thereby appreciating good performances. I think our entrepreneurs and managers should learn to approach things in a more positive attitude and appreciate them, rather than putting across the question of what will be the ROI. This would prove much supportive in a longer run. Start learning to have a broader look into things, than narrowing the view into only slimming down the cost! Modern day managers need to be more aggressive in working along with the team, and not against it.
