First thing that’s needed to bell the CAT is a positive mindset. While studying keep calm and be patient  by following a positive attitude towards learning. If you are unable to get through a topic, do not over-stress yourself. Practice and learn should be the idea of studying successfully for CAT exams.

Some of the points that could help you bell the CAT are as follows:

-          Do not follow all the techniques mentioned in the study material blindly. Understand then learn, keep the root of concepts and fundamentals clear.                                          

-          Set up a study plan for CAT preparation. It would keep you disciplined and regular in studies.

-          Take the mock test seriously. Compare your test results and performance of every mock test. Find out your strong and weak points. Analyze the syllabus properly, see which areas need more practice so that the preparation can get started on-time. Try to cover the topics in the next mock test which you had missed in previous mock test.

-          While taking mock test, treat it like the real one. If any question takes more than 3 min to solve, leave it. There is negative marking system, hence be clever in putting forward your strengths. If you excel this art, then you would definitely score good percentile in CAT exam.

-          Keep the motivation up all the time. Each day should add more to your aspiration level. The competition is with yourself not with others.

-          Time Management is needed in every task. Set up a schedule and stick to it religiously. The priorities should be set aside clearly.

-          CAT exam does not have complex English or Mathematics questions. Most of the problems that seem to be tricky can be solved through quick calculations, shortcuts and approximation. It needs strong determination, practice and careful thoughts.

-          CAT being a competitive exam that tests our general mental abilities and skills, can be scored well by knowing different methods and techniques to solve a problem. Such knowledge would strengthen your reasoning and logical skills.

-          Set a time limit for each section and then try to score the maximum in that time limit. Self-stimulated practice is helpful in providing a similar environment as the CAT exam. Every section is important, hence give them equal weightage and importance.

-          Keep yourself focused and bright. Avoid daydreaming and be practical in your approach.

There are no such claimed tricks for success. If you prepare well, practice regularly, be smart, do hard work and learn to convert weaknesses into strength then surely it would be an easy task to bell the CAT.
