First Test - India VS Bangladesh - Jan 2010

Iam Very happy to see India Win the Match. "All that starts well Ends well" but in this match nothing started well for India, Inspite of it, India have managed to win. Congragulations to the Indian Team.
Seeing India's performance in this match no one will ever say India is very safe at the no.1 spot in Test Ratings as Australia was always for the past so many years. Yes India can always say they were playing without captain Dhoni and ace spinner Harbhajan Singh and escape criticism for a relatively poor performance far below the standards set by themselves when they were crowned the top test team.
Still from this match we can always appreciate the way India fought back after they were four down for forty odd runs in the first morning of the test. A special century from Sachin in the first innings saved face for the top test Nation of the World. After that first day debacle India managed to be the comfortable side throughout the test.
Saying all this we cannot forget the good perfromance put in by the bangladeshi's. A very good century by Mushfiqur Rahim in the second innings is all what Bangladesh can take away from the test other than their first innings Bowling performance. Bangladesh can also take pride from the fact they managed to score 300 runs in the fourth and final innings of a test match. The way the scored those runs at almost four runs per over also is commendable. Had any of their batsmen chipped in with some more contribution then the story could have been different for them.
Comparing India's ranking with that of Bangladesh India should have crushed the minnows as Australians did It with Pakistan in the just concluded series. Hope that India gives an outstanding performance and defeats bangladesh in a manner a top test playing nation does.
