Kumble wins toss as India elect to bat
Anil Kumble won the toss and decided to bat first against
Australia in the third Test of the four-match Test series at Kotla on Wednesday
Team India is in the drivers seat at the moment as
they are leading the Test series 1-0. The hosts, who have a great chance of
clinching the series have a great record at this very stadium, have won their
last seven Test outings played at Kotla.
Australia, who are trailing 0-1 in the series, are in a must win situation to
keep alive their chances of winning the series while India will leave no stone
unturned to seal the fate of the series in their favour.
Australia were relieved at having pacer Stuart Clark back in the squad after
the bowler missed the Mohali game due to a sore elbow while India were jolted
by the news after off-spinner Harbhajan Singh failed to prove match fitness for
the Kotla Test.
