Difficulties for getting into one of the top B-School from small town
hello every one i m Pushpak jain born in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Vijayawada is not so developed and does not have much scope for any good career building institute. There is no right and whole information available with any institute through which we can choose our platform for a high degree like MBA. The quality of Professor here are not upto the mark, the class environment and the motivation is not counted into the consideration by these institutes.
I personally took coaching from one of these institutes and have found that the quality of studies provided here are not upto mark as compared to metro cities or an developed cities like Mumbai, Hyderabad, Madras etc.. Well i have been taking my CAT coaching in Vijayawada for an year and many of my friends too took coaching in different institutes like TIME, IMS, Career forum etc.. I dont blame any single institute for the whole thing but this message is for every institute located in a small town/city. After i got calls from top B schools, i run to hyderabad for Mock GD/PI's and then gave my shots in teh B schools. I sincearly feel that the students in Vijayawada have a huge potentiality for pusuing MBA and much more than that. I advice you all to gear up urself and request/demand your faculty incharge to provide guest lectures from IIM's and other top B schools. They can motivate you better because they know the value of a true MBA. Education should be served fresh so that students can gain more information accurately and can utilise them better.
I am pursuing my MBA from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune which is one of the Top 10 B schools. And i feel lucky for myself being part of such a institute where it changes the life's of people. An unique challenge which is worth experiencing.
