Sharing Responsibilities
Responsible men often prove to be successful candidates, whichever field they progress. The sense of responsibility brings awareness about ones duties. Let it be responsibilities as a family member, team member and/or as a citizen of a nation. This virtue is of great help in modern times too.
While working in an Organization, or if you are running a business you need to be a responsible player. In an organization where work quality is very important, sharing responsibility is crucial. The tasks are shared amongst team members, where it is responsibility of every team mate to deliver flawless work from his end. Also care needs to be taken by higher authorities that a single team player or couple of them is not overburdened by workload.
If one of the team member is over-burdened with tasks, only because he is expert in completing them flawlessly, Over- work will affect his/her productivity in long-run. He won’t be able to focus on a certain task, and apply his skills due to paucity of time. Another danger of such practice is that remaining team members become complacent and lethargic. As the result, the potential of a team as a whole is reduced to a large extent. Therefore, to avoid the potential loss, each team member must be assigned reasonable amount of work-load judging his work expertise and area of specialization.
This practice of recognizing the skill set possessed by each member of the team & allocating tasks accordingly is largely duty of team leader. Talking again about the sense of responsibility, if every team member recognizes his responsibility towards work, the team would succeed in its endeavors. In an event of important task coming in, tasks needs to be shared amongst team members with a commitment to achieve the best results.
