Daily To-do's
Daily To-do :A task list (also to-do list) is a list of tasks to be completed, such as chores or steps toward completing a project. It is an inventory tool which serves as an alternative or supplement to memory.
Task lists are used in self-management, grocery lists, business management, project management, and software development. It may involve more than one list.
Daily To-do's involves noting done the task to be done on that particular day.
Steps to create Daily To-do
- Categorize the task on basis like for role's that you are going to play that particular day ( which should involve kind consideration in case of emergency or something of high priority).Role's may be as a Manager (Category: Corporate), Son (Family), Owner (Property, Investments). This will help you to know at which location that role has to be played and to keep for your other responsibilities.
- Note down tasks involved in various categories which should included. Don’t forget to include backlogs, if they can still be done.
- Mark them or arrange them according to their priority ( according to me marking is better since this we can do even after noting the task but for arranging them in order everything should be clear right there )
- Whichever means is used to note them (MIS sheets or your very own Personal Diary or small booklet or PDA organizers) should be handy and should always be within you reach.
- At the end of the day note down the status of each task in list. Also note impedances(obstacles ) involved in task completion and whether they are due us or external factors.
Drawbacks:
- Task to be done at particular date may not be noted. As it won’t be feasible or we may not remember to check the task noted 1 – 20 days back or even more.
- Daily to-do’s does not allow keeping track of task meant for later stages.
This makes daily to-do different as discussed in my previous post
