Objective of the Programme
The revolution in communications, information technology and transportation has changed the way we do business. The market is open and competition is fierce. Organizations need to stay abreast of the latest strategies and techniques to survive and grow. They are hard pressed to find the people who have the right conceptual foundations, analytical skills and application abilities to help them attain and maintain the crucial competitive edge – managers who can lead from the front. The Post Graduate Diploma in Management programme – PGDM - has been designed to fulfill this vital need. The programme takes a holistic approach, helping to create complete managers, who can balance the needs of various stakeholders – customers, owners and society at large.

Career Prospects
There is a huge demand worldwide for qualified professionals from established institutes. On completing the course, the students can take up higher responsibilities in their own chosen area of management. Who should join this programme?
The programme offers a unique opportunity to fresh graduates and experienced persons who want to enter the challenging area of management where professional growth is limited only by their aptitude, ambition and application. It is also highly suitable for entrepreneurs already in business – as it empowers them to optimize, expand and diversify their operations.

** The Final Project
The second year students undertake a six-month long research project, concurrently with their fourth and fifth terms. This is a crucial phase in their programme, as it involves an integration of their theoretical knowledge with the practical world of business. The project is selected by the student in their area of specialization and a synopsis is submitted as a project proposal to the faculty selected as the guide. Once approved by the faculty, the project is carried out under close supervision of the faculty member. The progress is evaluated at various milestones. A detailed report is presented by the student, which has to be presented before a jury, and successfully defended in the viva voce. The Final Project carries two credits
