A glances to the unique opportunity and facility provided by PSB
Integrated
Curriculum
Keeping students' learning
experience in the centre, PSB has designed curricula in such a way that
students can think, analyse and formulate business situation from several
angles at the same time.
The curriculum is academically
rigorous and adopts interdisciplinary, integrative, and holistic approach. The
modular approach combines learning and assessment of multiple courses together
which automatically ensures integration and synthesis. Yet another innovative
feature is that each course uniquely blends the themes of entrepreneurship,
innovation, social responsibility and internationalization in the course
contents. Each module in the curriculum usually includes both the hard and the
soft areas of business and management. Integrated curriculum is a distinctive
feature of the Pearl School of Business across all the programmes.
In case of the BBA, MBA(M&E) and
MBA(Executive) programmes, the degree is awarded by the Nottingham Trent
University, UK. NTU is rated as an A grade institution by the
Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) of UK and its degrees thus have acceptance all
over the world. Association of Indian Universities (AIU) has given equivalence
to the degrees of ntu. Thus students at PSB get the advantage of an Indian
programme meeting international quality standards resulting in International
Degrees.
The same international acceptance is
gained in case of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme of
Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), conducted at PSB.
This includes Indian faculty with
international experience and overseas faculty from partner institutions. The
advantage of such a mix of faculty is that they bring the latest perspectives
into the classroom. After all, in a fast paced world of today, no one can claim
to possess complete and up-to-date exposure to different aspects of management.
Thus, a faculty group that comprises members with varied exposure can raise the
level of understanding of their students to meet the needs of international
business.
Pearl School of Business through its
illustrious partner institutions - Babson College, Nottingham Trent University
and Asian Institute of Technology - can draw upon international faculty
resources for the benefit of its students.
Many corporations today move their
talented managers across geographies. A rising number of Indian corporations
also want their managers to work with a global perspective and post a select
few to overseas assignments. Gone are the days of MBA's primarily looking at
jobs and careers in the home country. Because Pearl School of Business
organizes multifaceted exposure for its students through international faculty,
visits, exchange programmes and overseas internships, PSB graduates are better
placed to take advantage of international opportunities and build international
careers.
The emphasis on Entrepreneurial
Management in the PSB programmes enables our students to take up assignments in
managing new ventures and takeovers, strategic business units and business
leadership.
PSB is situated in an institutional
enclave in Gurgaon, a city near the national capital of New Delhi. Gurgaon is a
home of many multinationals including GE, Pepsi Cola, Coke India, Gillette,
Microsoft, Sapient, IBM, Oracle, and American Express. PSB draws a locational
advantage by interactions with these MNCs.
PSB has world-class facilities. It
has classrooms and syndicate rooms with the state-of-the-art facilities. It has
a well-equipped library with significant electronic databases. It has an
excellent computer Lab and Wi-fi facility throughout the campus. There is lot
of space in the campus to relax and to have informal discussions. It has
