Women do Wonders
It's a victory for women
Men melt in front of women. Reception hall in a business house will be packed with people if a gentle, smiling woman is there to welcome them. It will otherwise resemble a graveyard. Company bosses usually utter the following commensurate dialogues (clubbed into one) to pay least of the salary to their women employees.
'I have no work for women in my company. Since you came seeking a job, I think I should be concerned about your family problems. I must run into a thought process to create some work for you, but I have no time for that. Incidentally, I hate to send you out empty handed, following which you go and cut a sorry figure in front of your people at home'.
After spending half an hour on such dialogues, when they find the female almost abegging in front of them, they may deliver the under-mentioned final say.
'This and this could be my structure to pay you for no work to begin with'.
The boss actually knows that his company benefits most by its women employees. He is comfortable if a woman conveys the basic policy (compelling a visitor to wait for a good amount of time before resolving the issue for which he has approached) of his company. That is why, when you walk into any office, the girl at the reception asks you whether you have taken the appointment before coming.
Conveying few words of basic policy is a child's play to women, who are accostomed to the tough chores like cook for the entire family, sweeping and mopping, washing clothes etc at home. They think it is not a work at all and their boss is doing a great favor to them, by paying salary for no work.
Blunt voice of a company boss will always fail to recover the dues. Women talk it off beautifully over phone and the recovery task becomes simpler. Here again, women who are fond of talking, think that they should be grateful to their boss who provides them a luxury of telephone operating in addition to salary without work.
Women are thrilled to perform their duty with a nicety added to it may it be the post of bus conductor, computer operator, site supervisor, software/hardware engineer or whatsoever responsibility entrusted to them according to merit. We find women holding tiniest to the tallest position both outdoors and indoors, in government and private sector today. Women need not have to be discriminated any more, as the much deserved gender equality is fast emerging.
