NEED OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
Today’s life style of Man has discouraged him of any physical activity and this begets hazardous results in the long run. I have been running my gyms for 20 yrs. and I found that most of the people of different ‘body-makes’ are unaware of their body-needs. From my experience I found that the balance of mental and physical activities is the true health and the monopoly of either may lead to unwanted results.
We should give at least 10% of our productive time to the ‘conscious physical activities’ and that also should be regular. Regular physical activity is one of the most important things we can do for our health because it can help to
· Control our weight
· Reduce our risk of cardiovascular disease
· Reduce our risk for type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome
· Reduce our risk of some cancers
· Strengthen our bones and muscles
· Improve our mental health and mood
· Improve our ability to do daily activities and prevent falls.
Regular physical activity can help keep our thinking, learning, and judgment skills sharp as we age. It can also reduce our risk of depression and may help us sleep better. Research has shown that doing aerobic or a mix of aerobic and muscle-strengthening activities 3 to 5 times a week for 30 to 60 minutes can give us these mental health benefits. Some scientific evidence has also shown that even lower levels of physical activity can be beneficial. Science shows that physical activity can reduce our risk of dying early from the leading causes of death, like heart disease and some cancers.
