Cross Database

You can connect to every database supporting JDBC access. Additionally ODBC support is provided by the JDBC-ODBC bridge.

The follwing databases have been tested during development: Oracle 8/8i/9i/10g, IBM DB2 (OS 390, Windows), Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, PostgreSQL, PointBase Server, Firebird, MySQL, Mimer SQL, Gupta SQL Base, Ingres, Informix, Mckoi, Cloudscape and HypersonicSQL.

Cross Platform

SQL Developer is written completely in Java. It can be run on every platform supporting Java 1.4 or higher.

Multi Language User Interface

SQL Developer comes with English and German UI.
