Just imagine that life is all cool.

I watched a pack of pigeons taking flight from the top of a tiled roof over a highrise apartment.  The view was good because of the elevation in the terrain.  These pigeons flew in a pack.   They moved in a circle three to four times and settled back on the same roof.  The earliest ones settled early and the late ones last.  It gave me a lot of lead to think and feel good about having been able to see this activity in the morning.  It was almost a parade in the sky.   Just a few minutes of observing this blissfully with no other distraction.  We are simply superior to them but still complicate our lives.  In this blog all I am trying to say is give ourselves a few minutes in our everyday life to enjoy these simple things which bring us joy.  To many others it could be the new born in the family.  Some others, the new car that they purchased and to some others to chat with their partners about their latest visit to any country.

Let us try to find these 'Happiness Resources' around us.  This is like a tonic.  It simply helps you relax and connect with life and feel that there is something in life which is beyond your day-to-day chores.  Training our ears to listen to music.  Recall some happy moments from childhood and share the same in the coffee table.  Just remove the artificial image and touch the real.  Connect with ourselves in such ways that are unobtrusive, personal and private to ourself.

When did you write a letter last?  Why not pick up your pen and do a small ten line note to a friend?  Even an e-mail is fine.  But let us do what we like to keep ourself happy.  Make a list of things that could give you happiness. Visit them everyday or in turns.  I am not referring to work life balance.  I am talking about happiness - the core of our existence.

We lead a kind of life that is thrust on us just because we are under pressure.  I am not saying this to people who rebel against the system or non conformists. I am saying this to get an understanding on how to make life much more meaningful than what it is and joyful.  Take life in teaspoonfulls every day.

Human Resources is a great idea that drives every organisation. Human Resources is supposed to focus on identifying and developing the potential in each one of us to help creation of wealth. Who is there to create happiness for you? Who will identify the potential to make you happy at the end of the day? Could there be something called Happiness Resources? Can we look at creating happiness for human beings? Wealth should get generated by itself.

Ultimately, learn to smile, to laugh and energise the world around. Just count how many smiles you see tomorrow in a flight (barring the smiles of the crew), in a train, in a bus or anywhere else. If you see some try to be just as happy as they are.
