Apple - the fruit of knowledge - which was forbidden by God was the first transgression that man had committed.  The result is history.  As if it was something that God had forgotten, He ordained Steve Jobs to create another Apple that will again be the fruit of knowledge.  But this time around, it seems,  God wanted human beings to taste the power of knowledge.  God put the onus of the birth and growth of Steve in a nation that encourages entrepreneurs.  Thank God once again for not putting him in any other country that would have clipped the wings of his imagination, creativity and the entrepreneur in him.

Steve Jobs, in his own life so far, has had many lives and each of them have been something that will be worthwhile for many to learn for generations to come. His other "calling" is religion.  He dabbled in spirituality and probably found solace in it.  While technology is his play ground, religion seeems to be his pavilion.

First he put power of knowledge at arms length and then took it to the finger tips.  The progression from MAC to the iPhone seems to have been his mission lying embedded in his own neuro-ontological system.  He might not have dreamt of his status of a business leader who has driven technology to its forefront.  In a business environment which has been volatile for the last few years, Steve Jobs, like a seasoned batsman playing the slog overs of a limited overs match hit everyball for a six to win -ipod, iphone and iPad.   Apple produced stunning third quarter results last month - "we are thrilled to deliver our best quarter ever with revenue up 82% and profits up 125%" said Steve Jobs.  The company posted record quarterly revenue of $28.57 billion and a net profit of $7.31billion.  Even so stupendous in growth are the sales figures - 20.34million iphones in the quarter, 9.25million ipads.  These figures might as well be on the desktop of many CEOs making them wornder how many companies in the world can produce such a record.

Here are some extracts from his famous inspirational speech delivered at Stanford on June 12th 2005, discussing his various moves in life, he said, "Again, you can't connect the dots looking forward. You can only connect them looking backwards, so you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever - because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even when it leads you off the well-worn path, and that will make all the difference.

Jobs continued in his speech on his first stint at apple and his second stint "I still loved what I did. The turn of events at Apple had not changed that one bit. I'd been rejected but I was still in love. And so I decided to start over."  The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods in my life".  He is, perhaps, stepping into another such creative period in his life...
