IT industry in India has been one of the most significant growth contributors for the Indian economy. The industry has played a significant role in transforming India’s image from a bureaucratic economy to a land of innovative entrepreneurs with world class technology solutions. The industry has significantly contributed to the GDP, foreign exchange earnings and employment generation.

The IT sector has become a rapidly growing industry, with increasing demand for work force. The sector is expected to bring in revenues of US$ 68-70 billion during 2012-13.

Further, software developers in the IT industry work with content providers, graphic designers for creating the end product. Most software developers are also offered competitive salaries, depending upon their experience and educational qualifications.

Almost every industry (Banking, engineering, health, manufacturing, management consulting, mining, etc.) needs people to manage, use, network or create computer programs, thereby, creating huge demand for IT professionals.
