As an insider, I am very happy to learn that It’s been a while coming, but George Lucas’s seminal sci-fi films (and the other three) are now out on Blu-ray with the long-awaited release of Star Wars: The Complete Saga which hits stores tomorrow.
The set includes each of the films – Star Wars: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith – plus over 40 hours of extras. So clear your diary for next weekend, bookend it with a couple of duvet days, don your Vader costume and settle in for the Star Wars marathon to end them all.
The super-keen can head down to the official Australian launch at JB HI-F in The Strand Arcade at Pitt St Mall, which kicks off at 6am. Wearing an Imperial Stormtrooper outfit is optional, but presumably recommended.
