ASOS.com is the UK's largest online-only fashion and beauty store. Primarily aimed at 16-34 year old men and women, it offers over 35,000 own-label and branded fashion goods. Sales for the financial year ending 31 March 2011 were £339.7 million.

ASOS provides potential customers browsing its content with a number of unique features, including individual catwalk model videos of most clothing items on the site. Additionally, it runs a fashion blog which is frequently updated with articles relating to celebrity and entertainment; links are then provided to clothes on the main retail site which are related to the posts. ASOS is particularly well regarded for its large variety of fashion and beauty goods, as well as for the speed at which it keeps up with the latest fashion trends.
ASOS Mobile
ASOS Mobile launched on October 14th 2010. The mobile site has been designed to work across all devices including BlackBerry, Symbian, Android and iPhone operating systems, and this is reflected in the simplicity of the homepage layout and the navigation options.There are just three options; men, women and outlet, as well as a search box. Each of the three categories contain plenty of further navigation options. Users can browse by product sub-category, by brand, or by trends. There are further options to refine the results also; by size, colour and brand. Users should be automatically redirected to the ASOS Mobile site when they try to view ASOS on their mobile device, however if this does not happen the site can be found by entering m.ASOS.com into the device's web-browser.
ASOS's headquarters are located in Camden Town, an area in North London, within a building known as Greater London House. Its main fulfillment centre is in Barnsley, Yorkshire. The company has seen significant growth and now has 8.3 million unique visitors a month, with over 3.0 million registered users. Today, it has announced the latest launch of its shopping app, giving an exciting new user experience when browsing and buying from their web site, using an iPhone, an iPad or the iPod Touch. So ipod is not only a tool to entertain, such as listening music or watch movie on ipod after we have done the transferring: transfer music from itunes to ipod or transfer ipod music to iphone etc, but also a good helper for us to shopping.
The firm’s e-Commerce director, Mr James Hart, said, “After year-on-year growth of over 800 percent in mobile revenue, I’m pleased to release our iPad and iPhone shopping apps. We decided to take a considered approach to releasing these first apps, so that their foundations were rock-solid, thereby allowing us to now develop and improve the experiences.”
Above all, apple’s ipod apps become more and more, all we have to do is just make best use of the existing apps for us.
