It was a Eureka moment for Microsoft, after years of efforts and big buck spending on making a rival (Google?) savvy Internet Search Engine. On Thursday, MS launched its new avatar of search engine which will eventually replace Live Search, which indeed replaced MSN Search long back. With all these unyielding efforts of replacing one search engine with another, MS is hoping to make dent/mark into Google's dominance.

The new engine will be called Bing! It literally means nothing but "a sound of found". So the word is synonymous to sound “Ah!”, when someone finds answers to his request on search engine. What's new on offer? Though details aren't revealed yet, the demo shows some interesting details in the way search is carried out on Internet. With Google has become almost synonymous to search (Or rather a jargon verb like Xerox), MS will be hoping to find some success with launch of Bing.

What's hidden ambition? Beat Google in search business? Dominate search market, lost long back to Google or Yahoo? (Yahoo isn't a search company- Mind it! Says Yahoo CEO) What ever it would be, it isn’t going to be easy for MS to gain share in already lost battle of dominance. Of course MS isn't fool, Google is watching closely.

Whatever name it would be, MS has already spent billions of dollars in regaining its lost glare in Internet Business. Bing may sound short & implies brevity, some industry experts are saying the name itself is unfortunate; “But It's Not Google"

Let's hope Bing will turn fortunes into MS's favor or it will be one of those attempts made by MS (Like Online Book projects etc) which ended up in mess with no returns (Negative)!
