The University of North Texas' 31,000-seat football stadium includes 21 luxury suites, 750 club seats, banquet space and a spirit store. University leaders believe the stadium will help usher in a new era for UNT football and prove to be a boost to the local economy.

It allows the university to use non proprietary open architecture systems in the stadium for video surveillance as well as access control. The only way to add equipment using systems of a conventional design would be to home run each device back to a central Head End. By utilizing the existing network infrastructure, UNT is able to add cameras and/or readers simply by landing the devices to the nearest IDF; thus eliminating substantial conduit and cabling,” said Jeff Gravley, business development for SecureNet.
