I completed my Graduation on Botany from Westbengal on 1986, mountaineering was my hobby. My father was principal of Jalpaiguri Poly technique and also all India Rifle shooting and Archery champion. On 1991, moved to Bombay for a job. Started carrier as market survey. Within few months, changed my line and worked as Trainee operator of Plastic extruder. On 1994, again changed my line and started to work with Gas Chromatographs. Seens then, I got addicted on Chromatography line and started to read more. I became application specialist on GC and GCMS. From 2003, I shifted to Technical sales and on 2009, became Country Manager of one Italian company. End of 2012, I realised, my line is technical not administration and so left the job and again moved to technical sales for Chromatography product line.
Initiative to develop a country
Share there knowledge and experiences. Start state of the art training center for all fields, give at least one full day every month to the new generation to educate, motivate and guide to achieve the goal and grow individual and so the country.
My achievements
I am good in application for GC and GCMS.
Thoughts on Education system of our country
Indian education system at present does not consider the capability of individual for a particular line, which should be implemented. If any one is very good in math but poor in other subject for what dont get good %, have no option to continue with math. He forced to go for commerce line. So, for any individual, we should think about his interest and his supremacy for any particular subject.
Important decision
To leave the Country Manager post and came back to Technical sales again
Couple of years from now
I shall be one of the leading guide and teacher for Gas Chromatography for the professionals.
My role model
Dr. Ramanathan of Garda, who is no more with us. In India he was acceptable as one of the best GC specialist in India. His knowledge on GC was respectable to all.
Degree that I recommend
The certificate for specialist on Gas Chromatography would be the best but there is no opportunity for that in India.
Important lesson learned
Do what you want to do, dont afraid for any criticism. Never depend on others, be confident on yourself. Dont run after money, let money run after you.
Influenced by
Mountaineering as from it I learnt to take any challenges, to do planning to start any work and calculate the risk factor for any work before start, and finally to complete the job what given and started.
My strongest skill
Application on GC and GCMS for any industry

Qualities needed to become a successful leader
Open to learn, dedication, self confidence, appreciate others for their work, co-operation and ready to take responsibility of failures of subordinates.
Ensuring success
I want to be in Chromatography technical line and so regularly I read technical journals and publications, explore the possibility of implementation of this line for other studies, and finally work with instruments whenever get the opportunity.
More about myself
Education and certificate is important but every one dont get the opportunity. They learn it from there working experiences, but dont get acknowledgement. We should explore the possibility to find them and inspire them.
