About Afsar S S's family

I come from a family of a mix of businessmen and professionals. Though my father being a small businessman and my mom a house wife, we were exposed to the importance of the education culture and were encouraged to take to learning as a character building measure rather than a job guaranteeing tool.

Afsar S S's Story

Job Profile:
I head the organization here at NTPL. My role is to develop business prospects & identify new domains where we could utilize our team to introduce new products and build new solutions. I am more of a software architect designing business logics and processes for new products and I enjoy doing it.
The Decisions That Matter
The most important decision that I took after my Engineering was to get into entrepreneurship rather than taking up a job.It really gives you a huge amount of satisfaction when you are able to create job opportunities than to look for them,and you can pursue your dreams without the fear of failure.
Degrees That Matter:
Well, today we have a huge choice unlike a couple of years back. Apart from the technical qualifications, a good Business Management degree or certification will go a long way in landing you in good positions and gives you a fair understanding of what you are doing in a business perspective.
Working Life Management:
That’s a difficult one. However hard you try, it becomes sometimes difficult to maintain a perfect equilibrium between work and life. One advantage of being your own boss is that you will be able to compensate a little later for the back logs to maintain a balance and continue.
Done Differently:
Well,I would just start five years ahead. Just to beat the competition. The road to success is a very tricky one. There’s no ‘one way ahead’ to reach there. The circumstances change on a regular basis at irregular intervals and you should be ready at that time to adapt to the changes and go ahead.
Prized Accomplishment(s):
The one that I am proud of is the recognition of our CRM software ‘EstatePlus’ by BRAI (Bangalore Realtors Association – INDIA) as a ‘Recommended Real Estate software product’. It was a tough one when our product was put to comparison with various other software products including some from the US.
Growth Strategy:
We are constantly updating our quality policies and procedures so as to keep up with the new trends in Technology and processes which gradually eliminates the issues related to adaptability.
Advice For New Professionals:
My advice to the new entrants would be to take up what you are doing as a personal challenge and a commitment towards yourself. Unless and until you get involved personally and be happy & satisfied about what you are doing, it will not yield the desired results.
