Atul Sahay's Story

The Journey So Far:
My journey has been exciting. I did not take up Civil Service job and opted for corporate world.Lucky to get opportunities to work from scartch, learn & gain extensive understanding of Global Talent Acquisition & Mgt / Human Resource embedded with growing Business alliances and process refinement.
The Decisions That Matter
I would say, choosing Corporate World over being a Civil Servant was very important step for my career. Constant education and track of new developments / research and practices being adopted by progressive companies.
Career Profile:
* Involved in strategizing and implementing a creative Human Resource practices; Talent Acquisition – Management; Performance Management and Re-Deployment; Skill enhancing training; Global Recruiting process. * Building strong network & business alliances.
Working Life Management:
Photography & Cooking are greatest rejuvenator for me, going out for wild life photography with my Son & my wife are the best balancing factors. Time to time playing Piano helps meditate musically.
Done Differently:
I will translate all the success factors during this journey as a “Process - Bench Mark”(with a scope of improvement). Align my goals with the Organization’s and just move forward.
Plans For The Future:
As an Entrepreneur ; Consultant assisting growing organization.
Prized Accomplishment(s):
Take pride mentioning that changed the whole concept and gave a new dimension to the HR / Talent Mgt & Acquisition role at global level right from the time started working with Metamor. Innovative selection method helped add large number of talents at Birlasoft at global evel.
Changes In The Professional Environment:
Oh – it has changed a lot; people are more aware / educated and selective for their career path & look for Professional & Personal growth at the same time. Newer challenges emerged with new R&D and newer technology. Expectation of clients also have gone sky high (honestly some reasonable some not )
Growth Strategy:
Constant education and keeping a track of best practices and innovation how to add value which can result as a win – win for the employees & the organization. And what I practice is to allow freedom to team members to THINK NEW; TEAM DISCUSSION; ASSES THE PROCESS & IMPLIMENT.
Advice For New Professionals:
• To succeed and make a difference, it is important to align personal – professional goal with the Organizational Vision & Goals • Listen; allow freedom to team members; provide support to innovative ideas; stick to commitments. • Constant education on best practices
