Hi all, myself Kshitij Goyal, I did Masters in Engineering with Software Engineering as a specialization. I am working in IT Infrastructure Services business with an MNC. Currently, i am working as an Lotus Domino Administrator.
Challenges faced in job
As i mentioned it's a service industry, giving 24*7 support to the customers is a daunting task and to keep on fulfilling the customer requirements without fail is really challenging.But, it also gives a future learning and opportunity to keep on innovating and improving day by day..
Current Trends
Only one thing is constant in this universe that is "change". This is service industry where quality of service provided by the companies to the customers and the ever changing customer demands plays an important role. The organization who will keep the customers happy will define its own path.
Making job easier
Just focus on work assigned to you and other things will automatically fall into place by their own.
Goals and Ambitions
I set short term goals for myself keeping in mind the ultimate Aim and moving forward to achieve it. I always try to continously explore the work which i do to keep the upward learning curve and improve my skill set which i possess today to match up with the improving industry standards.
My advice
I am not the right person to advice, but i would like to recommend one thing that before you enter into this industry make up your mind about what actually you want to do and then try to find the best among the available opportunities for oneself. Be open and flexible enough to accept things with hands wide because every time what you think may not happen in reality. Be flexible and smart when you start your career and rest all depends on your dedication in the work you do.
Being different
Engineer is a person who can find problem, where it persist and solution to those problem. Everybody works in his/her own way, their own style. It's just how these problems and solutions are absorbed by the environment, industry for which they are being proposed. Talking about me i would say, i am a person who thinks about pros and cons both before taking any action. Once the decision is made, I will put my 100% to prove its worth, but not adamant and open for suggestions because experience is the only learning curve which keeps a check on the ground reality.
My achievement
Achievements in professional and personal life both counts because they complement each other and on them a person moves forward. Getting appreciation and recognition for your work whether from team mates, clients or anyone else in this competitive world must be accounted as one of the biggest achievements.

Read books and magazines which are published with an aim to part knowledge to people who needs it. One best example is the Silicon India magazine which gives you the latest updates on whats happening in the industry.
My important career decision
Choosing the path on which you want to walk is the most difficult choice to make. When you have plenty of options to ponder on, its natural to get different thoughts trying to pull you in all possible directions. Make your mind clear about what you want to become and do in life. For me the most important decision was to choose between a career in Development or Infrastructure services. I choose infrastructure services as i was clear on the fact about what i want to become.
Managing professional as well as personal life
Professional and personal life balance is the most crucial yet difficult thing to do. You shouldn't give any one more importance than other at every time. I try to manage both by giving them priorities at appropriate times. Maintain timings and dedication for whatever you do in professional as well as personal life..
My strongest Skill
I would say it's a continuous improving process allowing your overall personal development. In order to perform different professional competence, you need to posses professional skills accordingly.
