Laxman Marpalle's Story

The Journey So Far:
After spending 18 years in the industry working for MNC and big Indian IT company I entered into Corporate world. I have set up a IT Service company in 2010 catering into three lines of business. IT and communication infrastructure service, Enterpise IT Services and Product Engineering Services.
Job Profile:
I am the co-founder. I play the role of Managing Director and CEO. I am instrumental in setting the goal, strategising the business operation, building the team and course correcting at every critical time.
Degrees That Matter:
No.
Working Life Management:
Both are critical to happy life, one should not take precedence over other. We can minimise non-critical work, build support system for the family and build good line of leadership team and delegate judiciously and monitor regularly. Spend as much time as possible with family and don't neglect healt
Done Differently:
Not really. However I would plan to start the entrepreneur journey little earlier than now.
Prized Accomplishment(s):
I have been able to build multiple lines of business from the scratch. I have built technology alliances, business partnership, and have built a good customer base. In the short span of time our IT and communication infrastrure service division has been performing extremely well.
Changes In The Professional Environment:
It is entirely different now. It was a agreen field than and lots of unknown but fortunately too many good things happened in the industry and everybody benefitted lot. Now there are too many opportunity for the early and middle level professionals but however there is a uncertainty.
Growth Strategy:
Never stop reading. Today a reader tomorrow the leader. Read for inspiration, read for knowledge, read for information, and read to interact with great minds of our generation and earlier generation. One can learn lot from great minds by making reading a habbit.
Other Thoughts:
Recession cycles have become shorter, always be prepared to face the unpleasant situations. Try to be key member of the team in whichever area of work you are involved and always attempt to be the go to person to your employer or manager in order excel in the professional career
Advice For New Professionals:
Days of organisations taking care of your career is over, professionals need to plan their career themselves. Plan to get the domain expertise in your chosen area and work diligently to get broader aspects of technology updates and its future. Keep hooked on to customer needs and be up to date.
Role Model:
Mahatma Gandhi and Dr.B.R.Ambedkar. Mahatma Gandhi's inspiration comes from the fact that no goal is beyond your reach if you persue patiently and persistently. Dr.B.R. Ambedkar epitomises Courage, Self help, determination, and ability to fight odds in order to achieve your focussed goal.
