The Journey So Far:
It's been good so far.. Some ups and down are there but satisfactory...
Job Profile:
We do all kinds of Printing and designing of Communication Materials like: Brochure, Catalogue, Leaflets, Manuals, Report books, Annual reports, newsletter, Danglers, Bunting, Promotional items, Offset printing, Screen Printing, Digital printing. My job strats from bringing the job till execution.
Degrees That Matter:
If the person is Mass Comm graduate or MBA, things become a lot easier in our field.
Working Life Management:
yes, it's little hectic sometimes but we manage. We make lists of the work in hand, the follow up lists, The Client pitching list, The payment status, Work progress. We have a dedicated team of Production, Artworking, Layouting, Client servicing which helps us in our day to day working.
Done Differently:
One thing is sure, i am a more market oriented guy than finance or anything else.. Don't know what i'd do differently, but we are very dedicated towards the project that we take. We give our 110% to complete every project successfully.
Plans For The Future:
May be we'll have more Companies in the Communication field.
Prized Accomplishment(s):
When we started we had nothing with us, but still managed to bring work in Six months time and never saw back since then. From proprietorship company, we have grown into a Pvt. Ltd. Company : New EDGE COMMUNICATIONS Pvt. Ltd. Now we are setting up our own Printing Facility unit in Okhla in New Delhi
Other Thoughts:
I had started this Company as Edge Communications in 2007 after leaving my job in one of the Ad agency. Initially i had no money and mainly worked after borrowing it from friends. It was real hard time, but it's been 5 years and now we have grown into a Pvt. Ltd. Company.
Advice For New Professionals:
The only advice is that whatever you do, please do it sincerely and honestly. Hard work always pays. Never says no to anything. It's worth trying. You may not get success everytime but you'll get life time experiences which eventually yield results.
Role Model:
Since childhood i was inspired by great business leaders Like Ratan Tata and Ambani's. How they created wealth and expanded their empire. It was not about money but the guts, Faith and integrity that they showed. It was all about the Strength and character that inspired me to do something of my own.
