I was selected at Ramco Systems in 1997 in Campus - and my Journey in Product Engineering. Then Join Polaroid India After gaining system programming work at HCLTech, Infosys - the two giants. Fed up with the bureaucracy and no empowerment to the managers, decided to start my own company -SANDRIVER
Job Profile:
I am director and cofounder at SandRiver. When I started the company with Ritesh and with no background of business in the family, I worked at the company at all level. The Decisions That Matter
Closing one of the projects when at Infosys where the client lost the confidence in the team & team also lost the confidence in the client. Joining the hardware manufacturing company when my experience was into software despite suggesion of VP that, software dev is a secondary operation there
Degrees That Matter:
Although I graduated in engineering, after 15 years of professional and entrepreneur skill, degree and certification are means of eligibility. At the work in SandRiver, I feel positive attitude and willingness to work is only criteria unfortunately there is no degree or certification to measure this
Working Life Management:
I define the task when I start my day and make sure that I complete those during the day. I dont spill over personal work at office and office work at home. Some time weekend get involved in people networking which is the key for the business development, here one balances between social and busines
Done Differently:
I will enter into the training and will take up classes to teach student how to study not for exams but for the success. I am pursuing this with couple of colleges and try to bridge the industry and academics gap.
Plans For The Future:
I dont want to head a company of 150000 people:) but leading a company of 100 people developing innovative and niche software.
Prized Accomplishment(s):
I am currently working not for my livelihood but 50 families which are dependent on me. My workforce is equally passionate. We directors at SANDRIVER strive hard to excel and grow and we are able to imbibe that attitude into entire organization.
Growth Strategy:
Upgrading the knowledge and be with the team all the time whether its a good or bad time is the key for the good leader. One need to empower the team to make decision and show them the growth path and this is what I always do.
