I come from a family of educators. My father was Professor teaching child psychology and learner behavior to BEd Students. My mother though housewife, till date remains the toughest teacher that i had. Have two younger sisters , one with Phd in Pharmaceutical science and second one MPT.

The Journey So Far:
My corporate journey started in steel plant managing a workforce twice in age. Learnt my early management lessons post MBA while working as presales and bid management expert. Graduated as consultants to focus on client issues and then took to management responsibilities to grow consulting unit.
Job Profile:
I am currently Vice President and Head of Consulting Services at Zensar Technologies. My mandate is to build a strong Consulting practice with focus on helping client realize higher ROI on their IT investments. The role encompasses revenue generation, operations management and profitability focus.
The Decisions That Matter
Sticking to one company and taking on newer challenges / mandates every year. This decision has helped me to be stable, have met my need to be engaged in something new and given me tremendous sense of achievement.
Career Profile:
Current role encompasses full responsibilities of a strategic business unit starting from strategy definition, service creation, revenue generation, people development, engagement oversights and profitability management.
Degrees That Matter:
MBA education is must to build a holistic view of business, analyze issues and develop solutions. Certifications in problem solving, global business practices, technology leadership and strategic management are highly recommended.
Working Life Management:
I manage work-life balance by focusing on big picture on both sides. The big picture allows me to focus on critical aspects while drawing the best from both worlds. Time-management has been helped by empowered team

I see myself working towards harnessing power of technology to make the life of people at large more safe, comfortable and fulfilling. Innovations in healthcare, education and smart city life are some of my passions !!!

Changes In The Professional Environment:
Professional environment has become more competitive and demanding since i joined. There is more focus on quality of output and the battle ground has become truly global now.
Growth Strategy:
To grow further I am now learning from the juniors, experimenting with newer ideas and focusing on empowering team while not compromising on corporate goals.
Advice For New Professionals:
Professionals entering workforce today must focus on honing their execution skills, becoming aware of norms of the sector they are entering and must be prepared to compete at global levels. Ethics, corporate accountability and high sense of accountability to the society will make them true leaders.

My role models are inspirational leaders who achieved their purpose against odds. Some of them are Chanakya, Abraham Lincoln, Steve Jobs.
