Rakesh Senapaty's Story

The Journey So Far:
I started as a Tele-marketing executive then became a collection expert and I am a sales supervisor. It has been exciting and challenging so far.
Job Profile:
I handle a sales team and target is an important part of the sales job. So I make sure I achieve the target both in terms of productivity and quality. I handle the queries related to quality and ensure the full satisfaction of the buyer.
Career Profile:
I was into a collection job and now I am into sales. I switched the job when I realised that collection will only come into the picture if sales grows. Its a challenge in itself. The bigger challenge is to gather the goodwill of the buyer so that he will advertise for you.
Degrees That Matter:
Yes, rules and regulations of international business.
Working Life Management:
Simple , I forget about home when I reach office and I forget about office once I leave it. So I manage my work life at the work place, dont take it beyond the work place.
Done Differently:
I would follow my heart and start and the business I have been dreaming about even if in a small scale.
Plans For The Future:
I will start my own company.
Changes In The Professional Environment:
Yes, people have become more competitive and disciplined. They follow the " work hard and party harder" policy. Mental job satisfaction played the key role in bringing this change.
Growth Strategy:
Learning the tricks of the trade you are into is very important. So I am trying to learn all of them.
Other Thoughts:
Moving on with life I came across situations that made me uncomfortable but I never put my values down in my both personal and professional life.
Required Reading:
Different people inspired by different things. Personally failure inspires me I love to read philosophical books and biographies of the legends who struggled more to reach greatness.
Advice For New Professionals:
The most important one would be " your immediate manager is the person who can make or break your professional life". One must keep himself updated with the technology and the market requirements as a process to check his employability.
Role Model:
Mr A P J Kalam inspires me a lot. Just because his selfless approch towards the development of the society. His simplicity gets into my heart and the way he standed against the odds for the truth still gives me goose-bumps. He is a real role model for me.
