Phil Hughes: New star is born
Phillip Joel Hughes (born November 30, 1988 in Macksville, New South Wales) is an Australian cricketer. In domestic cricket, he plays for the New South Wales Blues. A left-handed opening batsman, he has represented New South Wales at all levels, Australia at Under 19 level and is widely considered to be one of the most promising prospects for Australia's future.[1][2][3][4] He made his Test debut against South Africa at the New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg on Feb 26th 2009. He was out without scoring in the first innings, but scored a half century in the second innings. He hit his maiden Test hundred in the first innings of the second Test at the Sahara Stadium, Kingsmead, Durban on March 06th 2009. He added another hundred in the second Innings becoming the youngest player in Test Match history to score a ton in both Innings.
