Five New Products Apple Brings to Us
Apple brings us five new products in the event on October 23. Some of them are expected and some of them are unexpected.
Five new products contain iPad mini, the fourth generation iPad, 13-in Retina MacBook Pro, new iMac and Mac mini. I believe there were many people watching the release event via live video in the world and have a very clear understanding about the new products from Apple. Anyway, here is a brief summary.
iPad mini. Just like what the rumors said, iPad mini is equipped with 7.9-inch screen, supports multi-touch operation. Only 7.2 mm thickness, weights 308 g. Resolution ratio is 1024×768A5, has A5 dual-core processor, front-facing FaceTime HD camera , iSight camera with 1080p HD video recording, ultrafast wireless and 10 hours battery life, supports the LTE network and dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) 802.11n Wi-Fi, the download speed ups to 150 Mbps.
The fourth generation iPad. Totally surprised, right? I mean compared to this, iPad mini and three Mac products are so weak. I am not saying how powerful this new new iPad is, it’s just new iPad has only been launched for six months, seven months top. Apple didn’t give us much information about this device. By now, we know it is equipped with 9.7-inch Retina display, ships with the A6X processor, doubling the current CPU and graphics power of the A5X, has 10 hours battery life, features the Lightning connector, FaceTime HD and expanded LTE support.
13-in Retina MacBook Pro. The biggest feature of this product is the Retina Display. It uses IPS technology for a 178-degree wide viewing angle, and has 75 percent less reflection and 28 percent higher contrast than the current generation.
New iMac. What impresses people of this product is its thickness. The thinnest place of this iMac only has 5mm, which is thinner than iPhone. For desktop, it’s unbelievable and amazing. New iMac contains 21.5 inch and 27 inch versions. The price is 1299/1799 and 1799/1999 respectively. The selling time is November and December respectively.
Mac Mini. The same as before, Mac mini has two versions respectively for family and office. The Mac mini with 2.5GHz dual-core i5, 4GB RAM and 500 GB HDD is priced $599. Mac mini which equipped with 2.7GHz dual-core i7, 16GB RAM and a 1TB 5400-rpm hard drive is priced $999. Except for the standard configuration, Fusion Drive is another highlight in Mac Mini and new iMac.
