Hack Events of iPhone
Since iPhone is released by Apple, it has become the hottest topic worldwide. It not only attracts consumers and developers, it is also the most favorite of hackers. Here let’s see who hacked iPhone before?
1. Hacking the iPhone by Charlie Miller
Charlie Miller is one of the most famous hackers in the world. After the appearance of iPhone, this legend also put his attention on it. In 2007, he proved that iPhone could be remotely compromised by a hacker for the first time. 2007? Sounds familiar, right? Well, that is the year when iPhone being launched. Moreover, Charlie Miller proved that after just a month after the release time of iPhone. Luckily, Charlie Miller didn’t mean to use that discovery to attack Apple or spread virus, he alerted Apple to the flaw he'd exploited, and it was patched before his presentation.
2. Jailbreak the iPhone by George Hotz
Jailbreak iPhone? I bet every iPhone user and most non-iPhone users now know how to do that or at least hear about it. A few hackers who work on jailbreaking iOS devices are admired by ordinary people right now, like the ones who just jailbroke iOS 6. However, not all of us knew George Hotz. When only 17 in 2007, he had unlocked the phone for use on other carriers with five hundred hours of coding and soldering. He can be considered the progenitor to jailbreak iPhone. Within a few months, he and other coders had found a software-only method of jailbreaking the iPhone to allow third-party software that hadn't been approved by Apple. But it was not safe like the current jailbreak though.
3. How to Hijack "Every iPhone In the World" by Charlie Miller
It’s Charlie Miller again. In July of 2009 Miller revealed a more dangerous vulnerability that would allow a hacker to use text messages to control a user's iPhone. The exploit could completely take over the phone, send more text messages and spread virally.
4. Ikee Worm
If your iPhone was unlocked that time, you may remember this virus. Of course, it was not harmful. It was actually a marketing method for Rick Astley’s cheesy music video. Ikee changed the user's background to an image of singer, along with a message: "ikee is never gonna give you up." The line referred to Astley's single "Never Gonna Give You Up.”

Comex was the most popular hacker in 2010. In 2010 Comex released JailbreakMe 2, an exploit that allows any iPhone and iPad user to visit JailbreakMe.com and remove Apple's security measures from devices in seconds. At that time, all the people wondered who he was. His real name is Nicholas Allegra and he is a college student. However he dropped out from the jailbreak community after and we barely can hear news about him.
