In his address he said that banking has emerged as one of the most challenging and competitive sectors in the country, and that SBI had surged ahead despite the tough environment to become the leading bank in the country. SBI enjoys good presence in Mangalore, he said, adding that SBI aims to support every business financially and help its customers at all times, while also constantly endeavouring to achieve new strides.

Sudhir P Ghate, chairman, Magnum Intergrfiks, said that Mangaloreans have the distinction of being pioneers in the field of banking, and making their mark the world over. He also lauded SBI for the support and service it extends to businesses and individuals.
