Nutmeg State Federal Credit Union Opening Branch in Newington
While many banks have branches inside grocery stores and supermarkets around Connecticut, Nutmeg is believed to be the first credit union in the state to open an office in a grocery store, said John Holt, the credit union's president and chief executive.
"Nutmeg State Federal Credit Union is a great alternative for banking in Connecticut," Holt said. "Our account holders enjoy top-notch customer service and … competitive products such as low rates on car loans, personal loans and credit builder loans."
The 75-year-old credit union now has offices in Manchester, East Windsor, Hartford, Glastonbury, New Britain and Rocky Hill. The Newington branch will open Monday, Oct. 24.
Nutmeg State Federal Credit Union serves "individuals who live, work, worship or volunteer in Hartford, Middlesex and Tolland counties," according to its website.
