There are many twitter applications available for mobile devices now days – most of them are free too. Let me share about my experience with one such application for smart phone – Tweets60. There are two editions – Lite and Pro. The Lite edition is free, where as you need to buy Pro edition. It is a native Nokia S60 series application, so it is fully trustable. Tweets60 pro is having advanced features like image posting, and follow search terms. The Lite edition is easily installable, and efficient to use – I am using it for Nokia E63 – I feel it is the best for a casual twitterer.

While using Tweets60, It is easy to see the latest tweets from your contacts – also to jump to micro URLs in mobile browser. You can reply, Re-tweet, send Direct Messages and add some tweets as favorites. Within a single click, you can follow or remove a contact. The configuration section allows setting preferred access point and refresh frequency to auto update latest tweets – you can also add vibrator or tone alert. The application shows @user, Direct Messages, Favorites in separate tabs for easy access.
