Home beyond Reach
I have been going thru this tough toil these days of locating home in this dream city of mumbai, it seems that I still have to wait for the right time, may be a next Recession.
Whn I reach to any property owner or Agent these days, they seem to be eyeing on me for long time but later I relise that they actually eye upon my pocket.
There is one interesting incedence or glimp that happenned with me, I had recived a call from one of the builder in the month of october 2009, and he quated Rs 2800/- PSF, since it was quarter closing I was busy and could not follow-up on that with the Builder, I had seen the building @ that time it was underconstruction but he said it still is time to complete may be anothe 2 months.
Recently I had enquired with this builder about the same property, when I heard the Rates from him, I was completly zapped.
He said the current rate is 4300/- PSF for you I will discount it to 4200/- but you will have to give the 40% amount in Black.
Kahan salary walon ke bas ki baat hai itna Cash jama kerna.
The building is still underconstruction not ready to move in & it will take another 2-3 months to get ready and may be 6 months for the possession.
there were no extra facilities that the builder was providing. No swimming pool, no club house but I dont know for what have they raised the prices so high.
For a salaried person building a HOME anywhere remains far from reach.
When the time was right, I was late but when I am in time - Time is late.
A common man still wonders - which governing regulators are controlling or keeping a Cap on these builders, who raise the prices for a property on thier own will. I think the majority of builder have a strong financial lobby.
Hope Government takes some corrective action and Keep some regulator to watch these builders...
