How to be rich

Everybody wants to be rich. But almost 95 % of the population remains poor or middle class. Why? The fact is that many of us are actually afraid of becoming rich and condition our minds to remain poor. But if anyone chooses to be rich, he can definitely achieve prosperity.

In India, and probably all over the world, who becomes rich overnight or in a very short time? We can name politicians/ ministers, corrupt government employees, unscrupulous medical practitioners/contractors, and cheats/frauds in this category. We are excluding this category from our discussions here. We are talking about honest, hardworking men and women.

In 1997 Robert T. Kiyosaki, a self-made rich man, published a book entitled “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” which shook the financial world, and became an instant best seller. In this book Kiyosaki explains the traits of a rich person and compares them with those of a poor person. He points out that the thinking process for these two groups of people is completely different and if you want to be rich, you have to think and act like a rich man.

Earlier, in 1910 a book called “The science of getting rich” was published by Wallace D. Wattles, wherein he gives a practical method of creating wealth. According to Wattle, there is a Universal Energy from which all things are create. Man has the ability to create a thought and cause the subject of the thought to be created within this field of Universal Energy. He has to learn to harness his creative mind to create wealth by coming into harmony with the Universal Energy. We can achieve anything if we have a definite vision of the thing we want, and do everything to make this vision a reality.

I plan to give details of advices given in these books as well as in  other publications and invite comments from all.
