Absence Management
Contemporary softwares that record the number of absentee by an employee makes the task easy but the reason for absence and the calculation of salary depending on these leaves becomes tedious and expensive for the organization hence it is mandatory to delete the root cause of absenteeism.
Absence can be due to health issues, emergency, public holidays, weekly holidays, personal issues, etc. Absence management is important as it can cost the company heavily. If an employee remains absent without prior permission, the revenue associated with that employee nullifies. This in turn increases the work load on the other employees and stressed employees cannot add to the productivity with efficiency.
Another way of managing the costs is keeping back up. A substitute can fill the gap thus maintaining consistency.
Early interventions on health issues can be designed so that the risk of procuring some serious disease is avoided. Companies may lose money on health insurance but it guarantees a healthy employee at the end of the day.
The organizations should find out the reason for poor attendance. When the employee does not enjoy work, the chances of poor attendance aggrandize. High levels of pressure may frighten the employee and to run away from it seems the only option. It is the organizations responsibility to keep the employee satiated with their work by appreciating their efforts.
