Family friendly Programmes

Family friendly policies aim at balancing your work along with family. Most large organizations adopt means for you to maintain equilibrium because they have a systematic way of working and the office hours are fixed. But when you are working with a small organization you might have to contribute more hours in order to complete the task at hand.

Acceptance of flex time or other means of work-life balance is beneficial as it contributes to a satisfied employee but sometimes the cost of this balance can outweigh its benefits. The number of hours the employee gives to the organization might reduce hence the company might incur losses.

Companies that have less competition or do not have to match certain standards can acquire these policies. Also the ones who cater to employee involvement in decision making can adopt these policies.

These policies are generally relevant with women employees as they have a right to maternity leave. Insurance and health benefits also fall under these policies.

Family friendly policies also aim at a job rotation or change from full time to part time involvement depending on the needs of the employee. The option of working from home is the best mode of maintaining equivalence. It is important to follow a regime in order to avoid the work load.

To what extent can these policies be initiated depends upon the companies working. If they have a method designed to aggravate performance and success despite of the policies then why not opt for them. The question is are family friendly policies beneficial or unrewarding for the company?
