Occupational Burnout

Why does an employee opt for change even if the job offers all the comfort and is line with the field of interest? It is the routine that can burnout the employee and detaches them from their task. Some form of change is always welcome as it adds a breath of fresh air.

Performing the same work day in and day out not only adds to physical stress but also affects us mentally. It leads to exhaustion and a time comes when the employee is forced to quit.

The term associated with this botheration is Occupational Burnout. The employees who get strongly involved in the task at hand and contribute to achieving their goals wholeheartedly are the ones who are affected by this burnout. The engagement levels are so intense that it can take a toll on their health. A slight deviation in the performance can de-motivate these employees.

When one takes their work so seriously that a small speed breaker can rupture their conviction, then it is difficult for them to cope up with failure. Another reason for burn out could be high levels of negativity involved within the organization. A negative environment can increase stress levels.

Hence it is important to take frequent breaks that can de-stress the employee. A short vacation can help dissolve the anxiety. Extra curricular activities act as great stress busters. Also sharing a laugh while you are at work can freshen up the mood.
