Get noticed

Despite of strenuous efforts and performing their best why do certain employees don’t get what they deserve? Either the direction in which they are going is incorrect or his senior refrains from accepting his accomplishments. This invisible barrier needs to be broken in order to augment in life.

Being extrovert is a skill that can make you visible. Unless you demonstrate your performance and take credit for your doings, how would anybody come to know that it was because of you that the company profited? Get noticed and show that you are an achiever but that doesn’t mean you constantly brag about your acquisitions and get on others nerves. The senior might be busy with multiple tasks and would not notice your achievements hence keep your senior informed of the tasks you perform and don’t be a silent performer.

You can contribute with new ideas that can make a difference to the company. It shows that you care and are willing to put extra efforts for the organization. Take interest in the decision making processes and but do not domineer. Just express your views.

Networking is another aspect that can get you noticed. It is important that you know at least the decision makers and top notch people of the company. These are the people who are responsible for your appraisals.

It is good to have a mentor who can guide you through the development process. Also this confidant makes you goal oriented and you aim to be at the position same as your mentor some day.

Success comes to those who seek for it. Hence design a curriculum that that may not only be profitable to the company but also to you.
