When do you need a change in job?

When do you need a change in job?

When you take the first step towards your career, you are in a hurry to grab any opportunity that comes your way. Also you cannot be finicky if you are a fresher. But the most important thing that cannot be overlooked is the growth opportunity. Growth in terms of self development and self improvisation can lead you towards the right path of progression. But after acquiring the expertise and experience you can consider changing your job to grab new opportunities.

But quitting your job at the wrong time, without having the knowledge of market trend can be a risky affair. The reasons for a job change could be several. Boredom can encompass you if your work becomes a routine. Doing the same thing day after day makes you weary and you lose interest in the task at hand. To add variety and spice to your office life, one can opt for a change in job.

If you are not satisfied with your salary or your salary does not meet your needs, then it becomes pivotal to look for new ventures. Contributing towards an organization when it is not contributing much to fulfill your requirements can be a faulty decision. But one should not forget that quitting will stop the basic amount that you receive monthly. So unless you are confident of acquiring another job, do not resign from your current job.

An annoying or demanding boss can add to your misery. It is sometimes better to quit rather than double your stress levels impressing your impossible boss. Try several times to build camaraderie but after repeated attempts, if you still feel the need to leave, do not hesitate.

The most important motive for changing your job is the growth opportunity. There are firms which consider seniority or eligibility for promoting their employees and when you work for a big firm, you might have to wait for a long time for your turn to arrive. On the other hand when the firm is small, the perks are many. Multi-tasking is the major criteria in small institutions and this helps you to develop skills in a series of tasks. When the appraisals are many, the work becomes interesting.

Unless you change your job, the realization of various market ventures will not dawn upon you. Changing your job confers huge responsibility on you hence this decision cannot be made in haste. Think, discuss, research and then take the leap.
